In this blog, you will learn how to effectively work with Interest Tags in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud to capture, organize, and leverage client preferences and interests for deeper engagement. Interest Tags are a powerful way for wealth managers, bankers, and other users to record client needs, hobbies, or prospecting opportunities directly on client records.
By grouping them into categories, you can create meaningful themes, identify patterns across your client base, and generate insightful reports and dashboards. Whether it’s tracking a client’s favorite music artist or emerging hobbies like pickleball, Interest Tags allow you to personalize client interactions and strengthen relationships. To get started, you’ll need either the Financial Services Cloud Extension or Financial Services Cloud Foundations permission set enabled in your org.
Work With Interest Tags
Wealth managers, bankers, and other users can add custom Interest Tags to client records to capture client needs, interests, and prospecting opportunities. Organize interest tags into tag categories, which group similar interest tags together, so that you can easily create reports and dashboards showing common themes and interests across clients. To use Interest Tags the Financial Services Cloud Extension permission set or Financial Services Cloud Foundations permission set are required.
Assign Interest Tags to Records
Once you add the Interest Tags component to a client record page, users can assign Interest Tags to track a client's interests and attributes.
- In the Interest Tags component on the Rachel Adams Account record page, click All Tag Categories.
- Select the Tag Category Concerts to filter by.
- Click on the Tag name search window and select Interest Tag Bruno Mars to add it to the record.
- Now add Pickle Ball as Interest Tag as well.
- All interest tags assigned to the record are organized by tag categories.
Summary
Interest Tags in Financial Services Cloud make it easy to capture and categorize client preferences, creating more personalized engagement opportunities. With the right permission sets enabled, you can add the Interest Tags component to record pages and assign tags like Concerts or Pickle Ball to clients, ensuring that all interests are organized and easily accessible.
